If we investigate a little in the history of pizza, we will see that many authors affirm that this dish, as it is known today comes from the city of Naples, Italy.
Pizza is one of the most international fast foods (alongside the hamburger), which has spread from Naples to the rest of Italy and then to the world.
Currently, there are many variants, however, they all have some basic ingredients, such as tomato and cheese sauce.
This type of preparation together with flat loaves are typical of Mediterranean kitchens.

Preparation of pizza for Spanish
For the mass:
- We slowed the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
- In a container we place the yeast, the water, the pinch of sugar, and let it rest for about 15 minutes until it foams.
- We unite the salt with the flour in a container. After the yeast is ready, add the flour together with the 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil and integrate with your fingers until all the flour is incorporated.
- When the dough hardly sticks to our hands, we put it in a counter with a little flour so that it does not stick, and we knead strongly for about 10 minutes, stretching and bringing the dough back together several times until it is put elastic.
- After time, we put the dough in a container and cover it with a clean, dark cloth. Let stand for 1 hour.
- Once the dough has doubled its volume we put it on the table with a little flour and knead for about 5 more minutes.
- Then we stretch it until we get the size we need for our pizza. We move it with the help of both hands to a pizza tray and let it rest for about 15 minutes.
For the filling:
- After time we put the tomato sauce, cheeses, bacon, salami, chorizo, a little pepper, oregano and a splash of olive oil on the dough.
- We take the oven for 15 minutes or until we see that the cheeses are melted.
For the armed:
We can cook the pizza in triangles and eat it alone, or add a little green salad that will look great with this Spanish Pizza.
Additional tips:
- If the dough sticks a little to your fingers, we can add more flour, but always in small quantities.
- This pizza dough is kneaded until it looks compact and uniform.
